[So the latest issue of his favorite comic just came out and naturally this nerd has to come and get it. Thanks to the power of AU, Hubert isn't as much of a closet fan, however he might be a little embarrassed if someone caught the senator's son reading something like this. Then again, he decided to go to college all the way out here to ensure that no one would know he's the kid of a senator from another state. There's a reason he wanted to run away from it all.

Or maybe you found him at the video game store. He loves his video games, too.

Or maybe at the bookstore where he's reading a book on politics. Hey, just because he hates his senator dad doesn't mean he isn't interested in politics himself. He kind of wants to run when he's of age. Maybe against his own dad...]

Public Transportation

[Another test run had ended with his MOTWs defeated by the other reincarnates in the city. He'd call it a failure but each defeat revealed weakness, needs for improvement, and with each creature that fell another would be waiting in the wings, even stronger.]

[Normally, he'd observe these tests from afar but this time he had chosen to come in person. He stands up above the battleground, cloak and hood whipping around him in the driving rain, and observes whatever reincarnate had been unfortunate enough to find themselves in his presence.

Perhaps the time had finally come to test his own powers against them.]

[Hey, wait, who are you? Why are you invading his privacy? He moves away so the other can't pry into what he's actually reading.]

Were you not taught that it's rude to invade another's privacy?

[It's a retort mostly made out of embarrassment. For someone of his age to be reading these comics...]

[For a long moment, the only thing audible amid the rainfall is the distinct sound of a sword being slid back into its sheath. Only upon the click of the black blade back in place does Saretha Kaiser turn towards the other presence, long black hair matted against her head from the rain. Her outfit is... distinct, two eyes upon its chest that were likely comparably red to the ones observing her.

She could have done much more to be rid of that creature. But why expend unnecessary energy? It was nothing a simple beheading wouldn't cure.

Obviously, that energy looks like it was well saved.]

[Well, given they're on a bus, it's probably not the best idea to raise a commotion. And this kid just wants to see his comic. Closing the comic he had hidden in his larger book, he hands the newest release of the Revengers to him.]

[It's hard to make out any details, thanks to the distance and the gloom, even the flash of lightning only illuminates him enough to make out the black cloak and hood before the shadows wrap around him again.]

[He waits for the thunder to pass before answering.]

Be that as it may, I've found it to be an effective tactic.

And I've always preferred effectiveness to pointless gestures.

At some point, Isaac reaches into his backpack and pulls out an umbrella. The couple are pretty wet already, but maybe it'll give them a chance to dry off a little.

With a little cover from the pouring rain, Isaac and Miria take the opportunity to look around the area. Miria spots the figure first.]
