It's that time of year again! The unexpected smash-hit television series "Save the Earth" has just wrapped up its first season and once again the cast has returned to the convention world to answer questions, hint at upcoming events, debut showcase trailers, show never-before-seen behind the scenes footage and bloopers, and get up to all sorts of other stuff!


How To Play!
1. This meme assumes that all character canons don't exist in this reality. They've all been created for the show
2. Post with your character. You are now writing the character's "actor" in this strange meta-universe. Include their real name and a little bit about where they came from. Are they a fan favorite? A newcomer to television lucky enough to get their start on such a successful show?
3. Post anonymously (or not) to ask fan questions of other characters! Everything from the ordinary to shipping stuff to creepy and weird. Talk about the show, hint at characters' preincarnations and tease audiences about the crazy stuff future Echoes will bring. Talk about what actors you like to work with and who you can't stand to be around. Tell stories of pranks and shenanigans on set!
4. Or just do whatever you want to do. I don't know. I'm not your boss.

... There was this one time where I urged him to try and ask out the young woman helping cater the shoot that day. Unfortunately, she turned out to already be in a relationship... with that particular episode's director.

[ Twenty-four-year-old baby-faced Irish-American who struck it big with Save the Earth. Before his audition, the most exposure he'd ever had to the industry was acting school, and helping out on a few indie productions. So if asked about how he feels re: STE's reception and his role within it as Season 2 nears, he'd probably reply with nervous laughter and a completely genuine, "Alarmed, really!" There was some debate over his casting, given that he'd been all but new to the scene, but he nailed his readings with both professional enthusiasm and by-the-seat-of-his-pants charisma, landing the role at the series debut.

Despite how seriously he does take his job, Noah is, first and foremost, a goofball. A far cry from the seriousness of his character (which he thinks is awfully funny, given the unicorn thing), he also has a serious lack of shame when it comes to STE's fandom. He loves blogging outlandish theories and riling fans up, spamming twitter with awful backstage selfies of him and his coworkers, especially when there's pranks afoot.

[ The reveal has Felix laughing nervously while he shoots her a pleading look to spare him. That situation was horrifyingly awkward. Felix's lucky said episode's director already knew about his quest for "love advice" and is so thoroughly amused by his attempts that he laughed at him for the remaining of the week instead of sending him packing home. ]

Ah... I've already apologized for it, no one's feeling is hurt in the process except my dignity. ...Oh, he knew about my asking for...advice and was really amused so I'm saved. [ He smiles sheepishly, hoping they wouldn't ask about it anymore. ]

[A late comer for the season one, the trailer starts with in the middle of the Wise Snake attack, her hands glowing green, a look of confusion and determination slowly growing on her face. It holds for a few seconds on that.]

[Then it blacks out.]

My first Echo was when I died.

[Then the trailer gets decidedly more fast paced. Now action clips. Danielle running down the city streets, startled away from a computer in a darkened office, a book hitting a mirror, cracking the glass, her looking at an unseen Network post in surprise.] I know you. [Collapsing in a theme park, being carried by a flying Danny as she fires off a bolt of green energy, a company party with a ThunderCorp logo.]

[A new report.] It has been reported that Danielle Masters has gone missing.

[Then Danielle with long, and whiter for those fans who are particularly keen, hair, looking at her hand in horror as it appears to be melting. She screams and the screen goes black.]

I suppose I should have known that was going to be a theme.

[ THE WISE SNAKE BATTLE IS UPON THEM, INTENSE SEASON END IS GO

And Noah is sitting in the rather impressive mock-up of the Unicorn Gundam's cockpit. Though he's been strictly forbidden to tweet pictures of the 1:1 scale build of the thing, for maximum surprise and authenticity, he still looks extra giddy at being able to play around in it. There are camera rigs all around, and it's a green screen backing so they can later add in the panoramic view of Locke with CGI.

They're shooting the pivotal scene where Felix/Eugen intercepts the Wise Snake about to turn the Unicorn into paste. As the scene starts, lights flash, the entire rig jostles and throws him about —

...just a little bit too much.

People are yelling off-screen to cut the power when the pistons decide to go buck-wild, but before they can, Noah's thrown forward with a surprised, "WHOA!" and smacks his face right into the center 'console' of the rig. Everything dies down and there's several expletives from the bottom of the screen as Noah lapses out of accent. Then, everyone sort of just erupts into giggles, himself included. ]

Oh my god, Christ... I told you! [ He peels himself up, face buried in his hands to stop his laughing. It's not working. ] This monster needs airbags!

[ That just causes everyone in the vicinity to go into an uproar. ]

No, really! Did you see that? The thing's crazy! I think it broke my face... am I bleeding?

[ Yeah guess who else broke his face with you, Noah?

No shit, it's Felix who is also involved in the same scene. And he too, despite his usually shy personality is pretty annoyed and is trying not to curse at the mishap. He's a model for the love of god, he can't have a broken face! ]

Can we add seat belts too? Why doesn't this thing has any build in safety measures for pilots?

[ Yeah, like his complain is helping with the uproar, not that he cares since he's busy checking his face. ]

Danielle Masters --> Anna Swan

[13 year old Anna isn't new to the acting thing. Mostly she's been in stage production, including a few broadway shows and is rather well known to have an absolutely wonderful, and powerful, singing voice and has been favored for when a child needs to sing on stage. Save the Earth would be her first television role.]

[There is some split opinions on her character, since it wasn't hard from an outsider perspective to realize that young Danielle was a liar, and once it was discovered she was YET ANOTHER person with green blasting energy, there had been a number of complaints. Not to mention she was some sick young heiress daddy's girl, and there were already murmurs of Mary Sue. And yet there's already a few fans who are quite interested in her character, wondering at what they aren't seeing about a girl who lies, but was still quick to throw herself into helping Wise Snake. (Not to mention a number of fanfics of Danielle and Toushirou meeting after a short line during the season finale.)]

[As it was, Anna was rather composed for a child actor. After years on the stage, she was used to speaking in front of crowds, and was quite polite to anyone who asked her a question. Though there was on incident where she started laughing at the comment of was she just written into the show and just zipped her mouth when she was asked about it.]

[Because SOMEONE had to ask about how many characters would be convinced they were ghosts just because they had a green glowing power thanks to Danny. How long would it be before Danielle was pulled into this too.]

[Anna Swan laughed and she grinned at Anthony.] You know, I have been wondering that too. Did the writers actually come up with that gag, or what?

[There's been panels all weekend, but one of the newcomers is attending this one, Anna. She's approaching the table and appears to be wearing a flower crown.]

Jordan, some of the fans asked me to give this to you. I wasn't sure how to say no, they were a lot more giggly than what I'm used to. [Aaaa, the difference between theater fans and TV fans.]

[the shot pans out... revealing the "mecha" to be sitting on a table, at which a young girl sits, sighing]

John Smith → Peter Baker and Jonathan Grace

[ Last con, the actor of John Smith couldn't be present. This time, you get two in one!

Not only that, for the duration of the con Peter and Jonathan are practically inseparable. Really, most of the time they seem to just be squabbling over the most mundane things, but the brief shooting of the regeneration scene was actually enough to connect them and form a friendship. With lots of squabbling. Their personalities clash more often than not, it seems.

Still, they're friendly, and smile at anyone who might approach. And, chances are, you'll find Peter occupying Jonathan's knee rather than an own chair. Because if Jonathan's lucky to be so tall, Peter will create his own advantages. ]

[So Anna has been sitting her, all sweet smiles, and all her layers and make up to look as pale as Danielle usually is. And talking about how 'she' is actually secretly the CEO of ThunderCorp and how she's going to use the aliens to take over the world, and she's only pretending to be a recent Numbers member. Because really, who else would be least expected then the sick thirteen year old, why else introduce her at the end of season one.]

Sam Middleton -> Don Williams

Williams was a controversial choice for the demon king of fast food. Not because he's a bad actor, but because he's got a reputation for being rude to the tech crew, being a bad tipper, and for trying to justify elaborate expenses on wild parties to the budget of whatever project he's currently working on. Sam is a younger character than he normally plays, but he's got several villains under his belt, which was what got him this role. Most famously, he played the sociopathic lawyer/serial killer from the season finale of a recent popular crime drama. He played the creepy bad boy "Maybe I'll make out with you, maybe I'll kill you" role to the hilt, and it got him a fairly devoted fanbase.

Re: Behind The Scenes/Bloopers

During the scene where Marisa used Master Spark on Alan the enraged Titan. There's a fairly spectacular shot of Rin whipping out the mini-hakkero too hard, losing her grip on it, and sending it flying into the face of one of the crew standing just off screen.

She looks mortified and even runs off to get him some ice before anyone can stop her.

New Character Teaser?

[The scene is a kitchen. From the angle, there appears to be a furry, elongated ear in the frame, with a black tip, and yellow fur near the base. There is the sound of a door opening and a voice filtering in.]

-o, no, you don't need to come in early, Uncle. I'm fine. You have fish to catch. [Someone comes into the kitchen on the phone, their hand hiding their face, and keeping the creature out of their sight. They're in normal jeans and t-shirt, with long blonde hair in a ponytail, carrying a bag of groceries.]

[The person moves to the counter, and while the hair says girl, the figure and voice is rather androgynous. There's a spark of electricity from below the creature's ear.] I was sick. Missed the tournament. Wasn't anywhere near the convention hall, nor the attack.

I know you worry, but the Professor would tell you if I suddenly went missing. Yes, he checks on me everyday. Really, uncle. I can watch after myself, okay?

[They're putting away things from the bag, back to the creature. They huff and sounds slightly put upon, but fond of their uncle.] Good. I love you too. See you when you get back. [Pointedly.] Next week.

[They hang up, setting down the cell phone. Finally they turn around, seeing the creature. Surprise and shock come to their face as they jerk back against the counter.] Holy-!

Pika!

[They are quickly clambering back on the counter, knocking several things off it, grabbing a stirring spoon, and brandishing it like a weapon.] What are-?!

[The angle changes, showing a small yellow creature with red cheeks, which spark with electricity.] Pikachu!

[Teaser ends with Save the Earth, Season Two, and the Air Date.]

[A second screen that reads; Monsters are real and adorable.]

[[Else he would have expected the impish grin that the teen's got on his face right now. There's even a view giggles in the audience]]

I don't know, there's such a long list of people in competition... [[he twirls a chunk of hair around his finger with a dreamy smile]] Marisa would have to defeat Hajime first, then there's Thomas's return to be dealt with and everything with Abby and the reveal with Winter~

A lot of competition just for one jerk's heart, don't you think~?

[This is a pretty fuckin' smug grin right here. It would obviously mean something, if Anthony didn't grin like this at every fan speculation theory ever.]

They did, actually. I never even made the connection between those powers until I saw the episode scripts myself! But I think it's a perfectly reasonable thing to think. Besides, with how many characters we have on the show, at least some of them with glowing green powers have to be connected, right?

It's notfine. [[A very stern look from the former stuntman]] When you're about to do the spring jumps? It could come off and smack someone. [[starts to very carefully fidget with the dangling row of spikes.]] Did you smack into the set or something?

[She could kiss you and she might just if this works out perfectly. Shifting so her costume doesn't get snagged uncomfortably, she adjusts herself onto his shoulders and up they go!]

I knew it, the air is different up here. [She teases, a hand steadying herself before - aim and FIRE]

[ He's going to ignore that second part because he's secretly dating Thorir's actor, but goes right for the first. ]

We all get along pretty well, I think. Dan, who plays Julien, and I hit it off really well right away, and even though I was only in one scene with Fatima we bum around on set when we can. With such a big cast I think you're bound to just find the time between takes to be silly with just about everyone.

Actually his beard! And I gave him one good death glare because he asked nicely. this was after invading my personal space.
