So, imagine for a moment that a giant snake wrecked your downtown area, and instead of just leaving behind massive amounts of destructive, that it opened something else. A glowing, pink portal appears in the middle of Locke’s business district. And through it come some very... interesting characters.

[There is a noticeable twitch at the phrase "family's restaurant."]

I have no family.

[But he's still distracted by that power he's sensing, and he's fixated upon the spot where Diabound is all invisible. He flicks a card through that belt.]

Henshin.

[Yep, he sure did just transform into his armored form.]

[[And Bakura stares just a moment before his fists clench.]] Not even your normal, huh?

And the real Hajime wouldn't say anything like that! His family is his most important thing, you shitty imposter!

[[His stance shifts, as does the feel in the air. If it was a fight this fake Hajime wanted....]]

I have no idea what you're talking about.

[And he doesn't care, because that power is shifting, and...yeah, time to fire a few bolts at whatever this is. See if he can flush it out into the open. Stupid invisible enemies...]

[[Bakura's hair falls in his eyes as he shifts to focus all his energy through Diabound. There's a rush of the energy coming closer before it solidifies inches before the Rider, Diabound's hand slamming into Hajime and pushing him back against the wall of damaged building.]]

[Hajime was not expecting this, and he is not happy. There's a bit of struggling as he tries to figure out what's going on. He thinks he can break free with a concentrated burst of strength, but he hasn't tried that yet.]

[[There's a bit of a burning light in Bakura's glare as he steps forward, Diabound's grip growing tighter.]]

You have his belt and his cards, but you sure as fuck aren't him. Who the fuck are you and what the hell is going on here?!

[Hajime is still struggling to get loose, but he's almost got his hand to his card box. It's tough, but he thinks he can manage to pull his king and go Wild if given enough time...]

All I know is that if you're responsible fr this, you're going to regret it.

[[oh hell no. No more cards. Bakura's going to try and snatch that deck away from him before he can use any of them. He knows what those are, and he's not gonna let them be used.]]

Don't speak as if you're the innocent one here!

[Are you crazy, Bakura? You don't take Hajime's cards. Hajime snarls and kicks a few times, trying to free himself.]

You don't know what you're doing!

[But he's very wound up, and now that he's been separated from the cards...there's an explosion of green energy. It just might break Diabound's grip. And when the flash clears?

Good job, Bakura, you've got a very angry Joker Undead on your hands. He would like his cards back, please.]

[[And yet, Bakura doesn't seem bothered by that. Because this is the form he's used to seeing Hajime in...

One moment, he's hopping on Diabound's hand to get up out of the way as he flips through the cards, eyes widening just a touch at how many there are before he spots the two and flicks it back at the bug.

Because he's not a total dick.]]

I know more than you think I do. I'm not fucking stupid, I know what these are!

[[He's a touch unnerved at the fact that full set of Hajime's cards here. Far as he knew, Hajime only had a very few amount.. plus that blank one.

You know that feeling where you're starting to realize something after it would have been a good idea to figure it out? Yeeaaaah]]

[Hajime is not happy. He's at least managed to avoid completely flipping out, but his hand is shaking from the exertion as he changes back to a human. And now he can't go anywhere, because this guy--whatever he is--has the rest of his cards.]

What are you? A Trial? One of BOARD's?

[And he realizes he is starting to sense another Joker somewhere in this city. That is not making this any easier. He'll twitch to look in that direction...which, incidentally, happens to be the direction of Japantown and where Locke's Hajime is going about his day in the restaurant without realizing anything is wrong.]

[[Bakura blinks in confusion at the questions before his eyes narrow at the glance. He knows what's that direction...]]

Trial? Board? The hell are you on about now?

A Trial. An artificial Undead. Created by the scientists at BOARD.

[He seems almost distracted now. He's torn between the other Joker he's sensing and Bakura, but Bakura is more important by virtue of being right there and holding his cards.]

I need those back.

Not until you explain what the fuck is going on. [[fingers tightening around the deck now]]

And I'm not an artificial anything, you imposter!

Why do I need to explain some portal...I don't have time for this.

[He's going to try to lunge for Bakura, Diabound or no Diabound.]

[[Bakura moves back as Diabound shifts, it's free hand going to smack Hajime back.]]

The hell are you talking about? What portal?

The portal downtown that brought me to this city.

[Someone is not very happy at getting knocked back again. He'd like to try a different fighting tactic, but he can't without his cards.]

[[Bakura's eyes widen a moment. There was a...?!]]

Where?

[[a pause as he raises the cards]]

I'll give these back if you show me. And promise not to attack.

A few blocks over that way.

[Hajime clearly doesn't like the situation, but he gives Bakura a tense nod.]

Agreed.

[[Bakura hops down from his perch, walking over before handing the cards out. ]]

Show me. Because if what's going on is what I think, you need to go back through it before the Hajime I know shows up.

The Hajime you know...

[Wait...wait...wait.. Allow this Hajime to turn and look in the direction of Japantown. He's not even trying to hide the motion. The only reason he's not flipping out again is because he can sense that other Joker, and by now, he realizes that the other Joker has sensed him. It does not seem to bother him; he's retrieved his camera and is heading back toward the portal.]

He's heading this way.

[[The curse that escapes Bakura's mouth is not in English or Japanese, but the intent can be felt well enough]] Then get moving! I don't want to see what happens if the two of you meet! You'll probably fucking kill each other or worse!

[[one moment, sending his Hajime a quick text of "STAY PUT. WILL EXPLAIN LATER." Because if this Hajime had all his cards... his Hajime was fucked if they met. Because they would fight. And the one with all the cards would win....]]

[Bakura is now getting an irritable text back from his Hajime, who swears he senses another Joker and it is making him more than a little grumpy, like there's some kind of pull.]

We wouldn't kill each other. Undead can't die.

[Dying? No. But sealing, on the other hand? He would rather not see what would happen if they met, even if he would never admit it. He's briskly walking in the direction of that portal.]

[[Hajime gets a text back of "Fight it off or else I'm calling your mother. STAY PUT"]]

[[a small glare at Other!Hajime as he follows.]] He's not undead. He's human. Don't matter what he's turning into, he's human.

[The response is Hajime complaining for Bakura to leave his mother out of this. That's playing dirty pool.

The look that passes across this Hajime's face suggests a bit of jealousy, but he quells it quickly enough. He can sense the other's Undeadness, knows the other is an Undead just as he is, but there is no denying that longing to be human he realizes the other must have. There's a slight nod.]

Very well. Human, then.
