HEL-LO, EARTH'S NEW HEROES.
Test Drive Meme!
Scenarios:
> Cleanup of downtown Locke City still has a ways to go. It looks like that shop you were planning on another trip to this week is closed for the time being. Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.
> Monster encounter! The above or you were robbed (or, for all you could tell, misplaced something) a while ago, and one of the objects you lost seems to have come back to you, if not the way you recognize it. Ayup, getting backup might be a good idea.
> Transportation/travel. You're at an airport or train station, whether to escape or take a tour to a strange-events hotspot, or plain go on an innocent vacation. Mix up your bags or timetables, grab a pre-ride snack, chat up those with the same destination, get or give directions, find yourself receiving an ill-timed item Echo in front of security - whatever you can think up!
> Say - is that one of those superhumans you've spied on the street? Yes, I do believe it is - you've seen them on the news/read about them, that or their looks give them away! Go on and ask questions of them, be it for serious answers or an autograph, depending on who you are.
> ...And it looks like you're a superhuman yourself. Looks like that hollowed-out feeling you got was followed by a mutation, or some strange thing in your brain. How're you going to come to grips with it?
> Wildcard/Etc. Make up your own!
Prompts suggested by Alec and Zero.

Knocking on her table to get her attention, he does have an announcement.]
Star Girl. [He doesn't know her name, okay?] We're closing in fifteen. Pack up. [Not the nicest of guys, no...]
no subject
Oh, it's closing already? Okay, sorry, I don't mean to keep you waiting....
[She ignores the drink still, marking her place with a bookmark and shifting to put her book away. She might be a little embarrassed, would probably be more so if this didn't happen with alarming regularity. She only knows the guy's name from his nametag, doubtful he knows hers at all. And yet nearly each night she sees him and he comes over to tell her it's time to go home like this.]

It's dark out now, the busses are stopped, and for the first time he questions whether she has her own ride home. He always assumed she had a car, she seemed like a rich little princess like that but one never knows. Maybe mommy and daddy decided a car was too dangerous for Princess Peach here.]
S'fine.
[There's a voice yelling from the back telling him he should be nicer to the girl and he grumbles. He was never good with actual personal interaction. Asking for orders is one thing... This is another.]
Princess Peach, you drive yourself here?
[Because dark + this place + bad people = bad news for a girl like her.]
no subject
[It's not so much that a car is dangerous, but more that she doesn't live too far and she simply walked here from her job at the library to relax before heading home. She has a car but doesn't often use it since they live fairly centrally in Locke City that she usually still walks or takes the bus.
And, as usual, she lost track of the time here while reading. Again. When she looks to the clock she realizes immediately that she missed the last bus.]
I walked from the library. But it's okay. I don't live too far from here. I'll be fine.
[She's had this happen before, after all. More than once. Estelle therefore doesn't seem too concerned about the notion of walking home, even this late, later than she intended to be out.]

You have a cell phone, right? Call your parents or something. If not, I'll... give you a ride if you wanna wait.
[Doing favors is not something George likes doing, however he does have to make things up to the joint considering he missed a day thanks to being in jail a month back.
But at least he'd lift any sort of a guilty conscience if he made sure she got home safely.]
If you don't want me driving you, our manager would likely take you home.
no subject
[She bites her lip, then glancing to George as her green eyes widen in surprise at the offer. He would be willing to help, to drive her home? She misses the look between him and the manager, taken aback by the offer when they have barely really talked before now.]
Well...I don't mind. If you're sure you're okay with dropping me off. It's not too far from here. I just hope it wouldn't be too far out of your way. I don't mind waiting while you finish up. I'll try not to get in your way while you finish.

[Rich looking girl caught with a guy who has a police record? Well, he'd probably get in trouble first for others thinking he was going to do something to her.
Whatever. His manager knows he wouldn't try shit considering all he wants to do is go home and smoke something. Fucking withdrawals.]
Give me twenty minutes. Keep reading or something. I can also get you a drink on the house if needed.
no subject
[But. Right. She shouldn't be questioning him so much like this. He does need to get back to work. She gives a nod of agreement to the suggestion of continuing reading her book while waiting. If it just takes a few minutes, she doesn't mind waiting.]
It's okay, I'll just sit here and read while you finish up. Are you sure you don't want some help?
[While she is here. But that would probably only take longer, so he would likely brush that offer off. Can't hurt to try at least though.]
no subject
[It's not her fault she's sheltered. But it's apparent now that she's not aware of the nightlife here. Whatever.]
Just read your fu--... effin' book and we'll be done soon.
[Is he annoyed with her? Yes he is. The type of nosy helpful bitch that's stubborn as fuck. That's what he's labeled her as.]
no subject
[Gosh George. Rude. She totally catches to those quick corrections and lessening of his language there. But it's clear to her he doesn't want to help so Stella simply raises en eyebrow at him but settles with her book again. Let him finish up alone if he prefers that. She remains seated and out of the way at least, while George finishes cleaning up. There's no mind paid to him as he works, absorbed in her book yet again by this point.]

Let's go.
[This is going to be an awkward car ride home...]
no subject
Thanks again for this. I can give you directions. You know where um, Second Street is, right? We're at number 10.
no subject
I know where it is. [It's where the rich people live, the part of town he never visits, because, haha... he can't afford that shit. So starting up his car he makes his way out of the parking lot. Note how he doesn't use it car signal...]
So why does a rich bitch like you visit the fast food joint so often? [Oops, he's no longer at work, he's kind of forgotten to use his filter now. But his tone isn't rude, just maybe a little off kilter.]
no subject
[She's relieved in that at least if he knows where they are going there is obviously less chance for them to get lost in any case. She coughs once but doesn't comment on the smoking. A lot of people do it, and she is used to tolerating it even if she doesn't do it herself.]
I was just wanting a place to read for a bit before heading home after work. That's all. I like the milkshakes.
[It's not that hard to understand, is it? A lot of people go to fast food places. Why would it be so strange for her to go to one? Stella doesn't see why he questions her about it. Probably wondering why she didn't prefer some cafe. But the fast food place is closer and most cafes are closed by the time she leaves the library.]
no subject
And home's not a good enough place? The castle's probably a better place for a princess than some crappy fast food place.
[He actually consciously watched his language there. She doesn't seem bad but... George is quite jaded when it comes to everything.]
no subject
[She answers, not quite offended, but merely wanting to set things straight, looking to him as he smokes out the window. That much at least is more considerate than others might do, even if she doesn't necessarily approve of it herself. She appreciates that much. He seems to have moments where he's....almost trying to be nicer? Even if his language and word choice might not be the best.]
no subject
[Even if he's a bit curious about why she goes to a fast food place to read, he's not really interested in her beyond that. To him, this is a one time deal to teach her a lesson. Maybe next time he'd know to intrude in her reading time before the last bus left.]
Pretty sure one less customer won't kill our place. Everyone goes there anyway.
[Especially on Saturdays... even worse with the after church rush on Sundays.]
