HEL-LO, EARTH'S NEW HEROES.
Test Drive Meme!
Scenarios:
> Cleanup of downtown Locke City still has a ways to go. It looks like that shop you were planning on another trip to this week is closed for the time being. Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.
> Monster encounter! The above or you were robbed (or, for all you could tell, misplaced something) a while ago, and one of the objects you lost seems to have come back to you, if not the way you recognize it. Ayup, getting backup might be a good idea.
> Transportation/travel. You're at an airport or train station, whether to escape or take a tour to a strange-events hotspot, or plain go on an innocent vacation. Mix up your bags or timetables, grab a pre-ride snack, chat up those with the same destination, get or give directions, find yourself receiving an ill-timed item Echo in front of security - whatever you can think up!
> Say - is that one of those superhumans you've spied on the street? Yes, I do believe it is - you've seen them on the news/read about them, that or their looks give them away! Go on and ask questions of them, be it for serious answers or an autograph, depending on who you are.
> ...And it looks like you're a superhuman yourself. Looks like that hollowed-out feeling you got was followed by a mutation, or some strange thing in your brain. How're you going to come to grips with it?
> Wildcard/Etc. Make up your own!
Prompts suggested by Alec and Zero.
I GUESS WE WILL PRETEND THEN
Robert fishes out his phone and flicks expertly to a photo where Killian is pretty visible and shows it to him.
TAKE THAT!!]There, proof. Now can I ask you questions?
no subject
[Yeah, that's him alright. What the hell. At least he seems to be on a hidden platform or something that does make him look taller than he really is.]
Maybe a double, you can't tell what this guy looks like!
[Methinks the shortie doth protest too much]
no subject
So very unimpressed now.]
The photo may be blurry, but he has some pretty distinct features that you also have. [Explains this very... slowly...] Unless somehow there's somebody here as well who has these exact features, I'm pretty certain we all can guess who this person in the photo is.
[Seriously ugh just say yes already, god.]
no subject
[Seriously dude?
But really, he's been caught. Killian glances around and when he doesn't see anyone he starts for a place with even less people]
I fucking hate smart people. C'mon.
no subject
But at least he's finally got somebody. Robert would sigh in relief, except his work's only just started and he can sigh in relief later. He eyes Killian as he starts to bring them to what he assumes is a less crowded place, not entirely sure to trust him fully now or not.
Still, no rewards without risk. And he has taken precautions in case anybody tries to get the jump on him.]
About time. [He mutters under his breath, but keeps himself tense and on alert as he follows the other. If Killian tries anything funny, Robert is not unprepared for it. He's seen enough of the rumors to know what he could best expect here.]
no subject
[Ugh.
They get to an abandoned bus stop (abandoned because it's closed right now) and Killian turns to look at the guy]
Well?
no subject
He puts those thoughts away for now; he finally has a source, and now its time to see what he can get.]
The snake incident obviously had a connection with you and your... group. [Says that part pretty distastefully.] I'd like to know what it is.

Nothing at all? It's hard to believe that somebody would want a group of people dead for no reason whatsoever.
[Even if they are special or whatever. It's still kind of questionable. And for that matter, what exactly is going on in the first place? That would be nice to know, too.]
no subject
no subject
You can't even guess a reason?
[You are kind of involved, after all. Surely you must have thought of something.]

Robert purses his lips together and thinks for a moment, wondering if he can try a new angle. Maybe that would work.]
You mentioned Thunder Corp?
no subject
[Obviously. He nods]
They're kind of crazy and after us and probably had half the police in their pocket.
no subject
Anyway.]
They're aware of you and your group, then.
[He certainly can't see any other reason why they would be targeted, at this point.]
no subject
Yeah, and they probably want us all dead too. Or on their side, whatever.
no subject
not that he'll admit it.]How many of you are there? Your group, I mean.
[He's had a brief count of sorts but its hard to be sure, that whole... network isn't exactly something he wants to trust in just yet.]
no subject
no subject
I'm not saying that I trust you. [You just happen to be the most reliable source he has right now...] I just want information, that's all.
no subject

Moving on:]
How did all of you meet?
no subject
no subject
Coming here was a very good idea.]
Not even an estimate?

You said 'Numbered' earlier. What does that mean?
