Questions Meme

This is a meme in which you TALK FOREVER. How it goes:

1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.

This game is a fun way to get to talk to people, headcanon, and learn things you didn't know before! Because it involves gives and take, it can go quite a while and everyone can participate and possibly make friends.

What is your favorite thing about writing Kotetsu?

OH MAN that's a tough one, I love like everything about playing Kotetsu :P

But my favorite part of writing him in STE, I think, is in the little differences between him and canon as he develops in the game. When I apped him in, my concept was basically to explore what his life might have been like with a similar early-life stressor, but no "Legend moment" to show him the way, as it were. As a result, he's still kind of a lost soul, without the driving sense of duty and passion that his canon self had. He desperately wants to be a good person, but he doesn't really believe in himself and struggles a lot with figuring out what that entails. That also allows him to be more morally ambiguous than his canonself and it's really fun to see the places where canon!Kotetsu would react in a very specific way, but STE Kotetsu goes in an entirely different direction. At the same time, though, he's still got more or less the same core personality as his canon self. He's still very selfless, full of kindness and compassion, and he genuinely cares about the whole world. And despite his lack of confidence, he's a hero in all of the ways that count, superpowers or not, and my intended arc with him is pretty much Kotetsu coming into that heroism in himself on his own terms.

DERP i forgot to post my question!! Does Rarity see herself more as a horse, or as a person, or is it some mixture of the two? ALSO how are the Bells reacting to their horse suddenly being a unicorn?

LOL actually i saw this adorable fanart which now makes up my headcanon for why he does it! in the art baby kaede is crying and he tries a bunch of things to get her to stop and finally the last thing is shaving his beard into that shape and going LOOK KITTIES and she stops crying and laughs. which i now headcanon as having happened and that he keeps it up out of sentimentality

ANYWAY as for the actual question, my initial plan with STE!Kotetsu was to mirror his home situation as seen in ep 1 of T&B, tension with his daughter and all. AND THEN i decided that would be boring, lol, but it was also more convenient for plot mobility to have him not living with his daughter and i wanted to keep the widower thing, so BASICALLY she got sent to live with his mother bc he realized after a couple months he wasn't really emotionally okay for raising a child at the time his wife died.

BUT he visits usually at least once a year, they call/skype all the time, and sometimes she comes to visit him too, and they are generally a lot closer and less awkward than he is with Kaede in canon |D

How did you come up with Emmanuel's name?

By being terribly uncreative, actually. There's a point in the show where Cas dies (this is hardly a spoiler now since all the main characters have died and come back multiple times, sigh) and is brought back to life with no memories. He's found by a woman who takes him in and names him Emmanuel. (she's pretty religious) then he discovers he can heal people by touching them (he has no idea he's an angel) and does faith healing for a while. (albeit actually legit faith healing.) Then his old life catches up with him and eventually he regains his memory, but yes.

"Hall" was basically the first generic surname that popped into my head. I wanted it to be short since his first name is so long, and it flowed.

Since we never actually played out Marisa going to Reimu's birthday party, what did Marisa think when she found out about Reimu's dad and his being such a fail dad he only sent his daughter an unmarked card with some money on her 18th? XD;

Marisa has some daddy issues of her own, even they're kind of different from Reimu's. So she thinks it's pretty fucking lame, and she got good and mad about it on Reimu's behalf.
