So ever since he grew into some kind of man-bird-thing, Rakka tossed the whole "we might be from the same place" thing right into the garbage, which was a bit disappointing, but it's better than the idea that she was going to turn into some kind of harpy at some point. Him deciding to leave the city as a whole made her pretty distressed though. She still thinks he's a swell guy and was happy when he came back. At least now he doesn't have to hide all his changes, right?

HEY BESTIE.

The Dians have a lot of people they consider "friends" and a lot of people they consider "best friends". Luci is one of the latter. She's overall proven herself to be kind, courteous, and generally possess a friendly demeanor.

She's also been to their shop more than anyone else on the network (excluding Ez's trips to ditch school). Before connecting to the network, the Dians rarely got out of the shop other than groceries, a meal out, or doing business. To have someone who visits so frequently as seems to praise it every time she visits? Its a new experience, one they hope sticks around for a long time.

They also hope she still likes that Hermione Granger outfit they made back around Halloween.

He'd only go for the sword if he felt like he could do it(which he normally wouldn't). So, either Merlin can be legitimately encouraging or guinness could be deceivingly encouraging. u_u

Do you really need me to go into details about special you are? About how the mere thought of you being around made me feel less like a jerk? That I suddenly had something to look forward to instead of reliving memories of a world full of crime and hatred?

Should I go through that? Or should I just say that we're each other's balance and that whatever happens next, we'll figure it out.

OKAY SO I RAMBLED A BIT EARLIER ABOUT THEM. But Danielle overall really likes Danny? He's nice and helpful and ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. And the turning point was the pun back and forth. She's always pretty uptight about how she appears in front of others, and it can take a while for her to relax, but she can't be worried about that after she PUN WARS with a guy. It's not a big thing, but to Danielle, it actually means a lot because she doesn't often get to just be silly. And that's why she can't help, but like him. Danny makes it very easy for her to be silly without it feeling like she's making herself seem stupid or incompetent.

Then there's the fact she's remembering him and it's just this realization that there is someone who knows. Whatever she remembers, there's going to be someone else who knows, and the apparent strangeness of her body is also shared with someone else. There is going to be someone who understands. It's both a terrifying and comforting thing because Danielle is not used to that. She was the little girl who was sick since she was three, the corporate heiress, too prim and proper, too smart for her age. And right away, that isn't going to be the case. Whatever happens, there is Someone Else and it's this kind of daunting prospect, but it makes her hopeful because she doesn't have to be ALONE about any of it. Which is really more of a groundwork thing, but it's one of those things that is going to just be on Danielle's mind a lot.

She wants to get to know him. She wants to bond and be friends and be silly and she has all these wants that makes her feel ridiculous, but makes sense because she's a lonely little girl and would love a big brother. '^'

Kara thinks Danny is generally a really nice guy and someone she likes having as a friend, even if she doesn't quite understand a lot of what he says sometimes. And by sometimes I mean most of the time when the topic is about anything relating to conspiracies because she just doesn't have the suspicious mind for it.

BUT THAT'S OK because he's friendly despite being neurotic, and he doesn't seem to mean any harm so she's willing to just chalk it up to more weird cultural stuff. Although she's having a hard time swallowing that maybe she was actually dead in her past life, good luck with explaining that one kid.
