She'd be lost without you, Lily. That said, she's glad she's finally getting to the point where she doesn't need to rely on you for all sources of emotional strength. Of course, Lily will always be an important part of her life :)

Bird friend is cool! Also birdy, which is weird from Marina's perspective, and he's not someone she always actively seeks out, but talking to him is pleasant and goodness knows she needs as much levelheadedness thrown at her when she can get it. To her he's mostly just one of the nice people she's amazed she gets along with nowadays, and it makes her feel a bit better about herself now that she's realized it.

Hi there! Ahhh you know I think that L sees Rakka as someone with a lot of the same basic personality traits he has. Ironically this might actually make it harder for him to consider getting particularly *close* to her because there are some dark and delicate topics there that are bound to come up, but he wants to see her succeed and get past some of the major hangups and hurdles that have made him the mass of issues he is today. If he can help on her personal journey, he will, but only if he's approached. He's a busy man these days and he has his fingers in a lot of pies, so minute, mundane details are less likely to catch his eye. His interest in Rakka's life will be more significant than what I'd describe as "distant younger cousin" if she comes to a point where she wants to ask him for help.

How they started versus how they ended up never ceases to amuse me. But in a way, I think that's what brought them together. Jasmine needed someone like Marina, who resonated with her weird sense of humor and her tendency for biting sarcasm; in the past it just drove people off, but here she finally met someone who gave as good as she got.

But seriously, she wishes she knew Sam better. She wants to understand how he can be more comfortable with an accepting his darker nature. She's just not sure how to broach the topic and is worried about ruining the more casual friendship they have.

Wow well Jasmine just sort of crept up on her before she even realized it. It was nice having someone else who could have a huge snarky attitude about damn near everything that goes on, especially when Marina was starting to befriend Lily too, and for a while that's pretty much all it was. At some point before Jasmine confessed though she started to really care about the people she was getting along with, and the fact that she was getting along with so many people she wouldn't have before, and Jasmine was one of the most fun of all those.

Then she confessed and freaked Marina out for a few weeks, but it also got her to realize she was deeply in denial about her orientation when she realized that the thought of it was pretty great! Now hormones have her clinging to Jasmine, and a lot of it is still just friendship + infatuation the way teenagers do it, but she cares deeply about how well Jasmine's doing, and in turn wants to be a better person for her.

Uneasy. The dopp's personality is so twisted with regards to what L thinks he knows about Xander that he's extremely wary. He interacted with other people's doubles, but he's making no assumption about Xander simply because he thinks that volatility was hinted at rather blatantly, and he's aware that a lot of people are undergoing personality changes.

Clearly they need to talk again soon!

What she doesn't realize is that Sam is comfortable with accepting his dark nature because his dark nature makes him just a little bit evil.

She likes Marisa. Marisa's funny, Marisa's got attitude about a lot of things, and while she's kind of an overly excited idiot sometimes, variety is the spice of life or something. Mostly, chatting sort of normally at the big sleepover endeared Marisa to her, so while she's not someone Marina's going to actively go to for advice or deep conversation she's pretty cool.

Sasha is frankly, in Marina's opinion, a total dumbass. In a good way, often, even if Marina doesn't get memes and internet culture all that way and thinks it's stupid and dorky, but when she's embarrassing other people it's funny, and she seems like a generally not bad person otherwise.

If Marina starts paying more attention she might start to ship Sasha with Matt a little bit.
