Also, what a strange thought process. Superpowered babies? The ability to make funhouses??? Where does this guy GET this stuff? Danny's just kinda going along with it, seeing where that weird thought process goes, because he....really doesn't know what else to make of it.
tl;dr you're weird, but not so weird that he wouldn't talk to you.

Like, on the one hand, DUDE. GIANT ROBOT. THAT IS SO COOL. On the other hand, Shinji sounded less than enthused about it, which is understandable especially given that he was apparently taken in by the FBI, along with his robot. The FBI is scary, and Shinji does not seem like the type to handle that well. (Although let's be real, who WOULD handle that well?)
Danny thinks he's kinda melancholy, too, swinging from surprise to pessimism sometimes. He hasn't really seen Shinji all that happy or excited, which is kinda awkward at times honestly. He thinks maybe Shinji's just not the type to get excited, outwardly or otherwise.
All in all, he's kinda worried about him, especially since as far as Danny knows, Shinji has no powers or any other echo abilities to help him out should the FBI do something to him. If anything DOES happen, he'd gladly and immediately do whatever he could to help him out--probably just turn him intangible and get him out of there. (Danny likes that kind of help, he's good at that one.)

Second first impression from the encounter at school: kinda weird, maybe suspicious??? Not all that bad. Which is what makes him suspicious--that someone could throw a person directly at a dangerous giant snake and not seem all that bad afterwards. Not to say that Danny thinks Emil is suspicious--Danny knows full well how weird echoes can be and that they're totally unchooseable and uncontrollable--but it makes him a little suspicious of whoever's stuff he's echoing back.
So uh. Hopefully this guy doesn't get more echoes, because he doesn't want to see what else Emil might end up impulsively doing.
(Also, he may not know what's under the hat--not yet, anyway--but he sympathizes. He sympathizes a lot.)

okay but seriously uhhh Danny actually feels kinda bad for Anthony. He doesn't know the guy all that well in the grand scheme of things, but he does feel bad that between the two of them having to deal with being dead, he got the better deal. He got superpowers, and Anthony got... A decaying body, blindness, and all sorts of unsavory side effects. He thinks it sucks that death is so... Uneven in filling out advantages versus disadvantages.
It makes him feel kinda awkward whenever he does talk to Anthony. What a raw, shitty deal.

Siblings are nothing new to Danny--he has an older sister, after all. But he's always been the youngest. Now that he might be an older brother, he doesn't know what to do. What, is he supposed to like protect her and comfort her and give her toys?? How does this work? This would be so much easier if he could treat her like a friend (and so far, that's how he's approaching it), but if she's his little sister, then she's his little sister, and that's going to require him to put on his big boy pants and handle things accordingly. He's going to handle this responsibly, dagnabbit.
Also, she's actually kinda intimidating. A girl so young who's so articulate and quick to notice things? Damn. Danny feels like he's talking to someone his age, maybe a year older, half the time. Which isn't normally an issue, but that she's only, what, 13? Really puts an intimidating edge on it.

With her being on the network and showing her Cure Phantom, though, things have shifted a little. On the one hand, he's concerned for her safety because he doesn't think she has any superpowers, and Danny knows firsthand how dangerous network stuff can get. He's used to it--he can just phase through it. But Robyn can't, and he's worried she might get hurt.
On the other hand, it's pretty cool to tell a friend about his secret identity. Even if he is kinda weirded out by the fangirly squealing and autographing. Most of his other friends were people who've been on the network a long time already and were familiar with his powers and all to begin with, so his superheroics aren't really a thing to them. But for Robyn...well, who wouldn't like being flattered so much by your friends? He just hopes that in the long term this doesn't change much about their relationship.

But he learned his lesson from that one confrontation, interfering is not going to help anyone. He'd be a lot more protective of her, if being protective didn't lead to threats of murder. So he's backing off and not doing anything overt about it, but he is keeping a general eye towards her, just in case. He's just worried--even if she can take care of herself. Anyone who has seriously attempted murder is not somebody to hang out with. (Seriously, Holly. Get your relationship decisions sorted out.)
But yeah uh most of his interaction with Holly has been through Skyler, basically, although they're starting to branch out a little now. So most of his opinion on her has to do with his opinion on Skyler too, HAHA

AND EVERY TIME WE KISS I SWEAR I COULD FLY
okay no but actually, uhhh
Danny likes Walter well enough but he's always a little cautious around him because it seems like the fates conspire to push them together whenever they're within earshot of each other. (That's because they are.) Danny is deeply uncomfortable with all of their intimate encounters (and is deeply uncomfortable with the fact that that's in the plural at all), which makes any interaction with him kind of weird no matter how hard he tries to ignore it and push past it.
Someday, if they can hang out PLATONICALLY without Tavia playing yaoi bingo with them behind the bushes, he would happily do so. Until then he's always going to be just a little uncomfortable around him--in person, anyway. Over text he's totally okay with it. CAN'T MAKE ME KISS THROUGH A COMPUTER SCREEN, TAVIA, HA HA!
BASICALLY, they will forever be star-crossed friends

Still, he considers Neku a real, proper pal. He still appreciates Neku's effort to help him dye his hair, even if it ended in total failure. Hell, the two of them kidnapped a girl together and defended her from a murderer. You know you're tight after something like that, that's the shit of relationship transformations. You are TRUE BLUE, buddy.
...Even if Danny still doesn't know what Neku's thinking half the time.

ALL THAT ASIDE, THOUGH, he thinks Marisa's pretty cool! Dangerous and kinda reckless, but when she's not firing up giant laser beams he'd gladly hang out with her (but not in public).
Also, he totally views her as his one rebel/delinquent friend. She had booze at that one party like months and months ago, and Danny had a sip of it then. Any friend under 21 who can give him access to booze is absolutely the delinquent/rebel friend. He feels so edgy when he thinks about that, you do not even know.
