After the initial confusion, New!Marisa finds herself torn between something resembling hero worship for Old!Marisa and her stupendous magical power, and disdain at Old!Marisa's fashion sense. She's also too much of a people person to like the idea of living alone in the Forest of Magic.

Short version Old!Marisa becomes New!Marisa's mentor in magic, but then helps her get a less frilly wardrobe.

New!Dians are instantly repulsed by Old!Isaac and Miria's criminal ways. OH NO CRIME BAD. But they also can't really hate themselves, especially after hearing a few of the reasons, so they find themselves really conflicted about what to do. They'd probably also feel an inexplicable urge to hide them from anyone that stopped by.

Old!Isaac and Miria initially think these "strange duplicates/clones" are evil evil face stealers. It takes a while, but Dians do manage to explain that there's some reincarnation stuff going on. Then Isaac and Miria deem the Dians to be pretty darn cool. Got a house?! Cool knick-knacks! Neato friends! So, they drag New!Dians (and anyone else they like) on a wide variety of adventures and funtimes all around.

Sitcom-esque hijinks, crazy misadvantures, and hilarity ensues.

Old!Danny is a little weirded out by how shy and wimpy new!Danny is, and is constantly asking "was I seriously that much of a dork?" He is also incredibly confused and embarrassed of all of Danny's bizarre conclusions as to what he could possibly be turning into. Obviously you're turning into a half-ghost, you doofus, why would you ever think you're an alien?!

New!Danny is kind of starstruck by how cool and confident Old!Danny is. Also, really confused about why he talks like a 10-year-old who thinks he's cool for saying the ultra-taboo 'poopyhead'. Honestly, "crud" and "shoot"? This isn't kindergarten, man.

Old!Danny ends up as the wise mentor to New!Danny, especially in regards to his powers, because good lord does New!Danny need all the help he can get, he gets into even worse shenanigans than Old!Danny ever did.

Old Reimu would suspect that New Reimu was either an incident or Yukari trolling her again. New Reimu would probably be a little surprised, but mostly annoyed by how much more aggressive the Old Reimu is (not there's that much difference unless Incident Mode is in play), and they'd probably end up arguing due to Old Reimu trying to get the new one to do things the Old one doesn't want to do or something. They're still both about equal in the laziness department. XD;

Also, actually, Old Reimu might also be a little jealous at how normal/quiet New Reimu's life is in comparison to hers, and how much freedom being a normal girl as opposed to the Hakurei Shrine Maiden gives her, with New Reimu being a little bit more appreciative of said normality (even if it is a bit boring sometimes) after she finds out about all the shit Old Reimu has to deal with on a monthly basis. She wouldn't envy New Reimu her dad though. >.>

Cinderella and Rarity get on just like twin sisters separated at birth and brought up under very different circumstances - Cinderella is immediately starstruck if a little jealous by Rarity's unicornian glamor and establishment as a successful and popular member of society (in one for talking ponies!), not to mention the things she's capable of magically and artistically; Rarity insists that no double of hers is going to lead a dreary life in somepony's yard and insists that the two of them go out and about, get Cinderella done up properly and gifted with a custom proper dress or two, and they mostly have a grand ol' ladies' time.

As their figurative levels even out they might pick up a sense of a rivalry with one another but it is, too, sisterly, and all amicable at the end of any possible rises to huffing clashes.

Jovan and Nathan are mutually horrified by each other. While they appreciate each other's senses of humor (or humour, for Nathan), that's about all they see eye to eye on. Nathan is disgusted by how Jovan is pissing away the best years of his life locked away in classrooms studying a ton of boring shit he doesn't even like. Public policy, what the fuck even is that? What a waste, Nathan can hardly believe this guy is supposed to be a reincarnation of him.

Jovan, on the other hand, is appalled by how vulgar Nathan is in person, and the fact that he is straight up a criminal with no prospects in life, and that he has no plans for the future beyond "party hardy until I can't party no more." (Although he does secretly want to do that, just for a little.)

Their first meeting starts out friendly enough, the both of them civilly talking to each other. It quickly becomes very explosive and very loud, though, and they leave on sour terms with each other. Nathan does not even explain any of the weird superpower shit before he fucks on off outta there.

How a meeting between the past and present Anthonys would go is wholly dependent on whether or not Old Anthony would be run into before or after he's had his skull bashed in my Paul.

Assuming New Anthony meets Old Anthony before, if Old Anthony has the lucidity for it, it's very possible it'll throw them both into a tizzy, and if not, particular reaction's a one-way street and New Anthony would be rather horrified.

Assuming after Paul 'twill contrastingly go essentially well - if not exactly cheerily; the ghostly Old Anthony wonders how his refreshed self managed to grow up so passive to a point that he's perplexingly not-quite-secondhandedly a little discontented over it but isn't put off and on the whole, to keep it short, they'll find quite a load to find to share and discuss with each other.

Angela would be rather alarmed by Angua. She could see herself in her preincarnation, and assuming she could figure out what Angua is, she could also see how she would end up like that having lived that life. Angua, on the other hand, would be almost relieved by how NORMAL Angela is. It shows that if you separated the wolf from the human, the human isn't a killer.

Angua wouldn't be able to bring herself to tell Angela too much about what's in store for her, and would just give guarded and leading comments. End result: Angua conflicted and disappointed, Angela confused and frustrated.

Basically, Sho will find Shou's life of ease to be both a big huge 'WTF' as well as 'kid, you have no f** clue what real life is like'. He'll be disappointed in Shou having all these opportunities to do something and all he does is party and hang around and does nothing. All that talent, the connections, the skills and he is just wastes it.

Shou will see Sho as a big scary guy because he can be. And then he'll wish he had never joked about vampires.

Eren thinks Alan is a cowardly, spineless idiot who needs to stop whining about how much his life sucks and get to killing all them aliens already. Alan thinks Eren is crazy, obsessive, and straight-up monstrous. They yell and fight a lot.

After they get past that and calm down enough to talk to each other in a somewhat civil fashion, they might get around to actually defending each other's points of view. Eren still finds Alan's preoccupation with art stupid, but is kind of glad that his reincarnation got to live a peaceful life with an alive mother. Meanwhile when Alan gets a better picture of the kind of life Eren has led, he ends up feeling bad for his preincarnation because wow that sucks. Alan casually mentions that yeah in this world we can just get on a plane and go wherever. They go see the ocean together and it's actually kind of weirdly adorable.

Tavia's initial reaction to Vriska is intense confusion. Because she's been assuming her preincarnation was Spinneret Mindfang, ruthless pirate badass (who was not actually a fairy. Or Jesus)! And Vriska is just a thirteen-year old dead girl. Oops.

While Octavia's confusion gives way to massive disappointment, Vriska will be sort of jealous and angry. Tavia has had a cushy life as a weaky-weak soft little Earth human, has been through none of the hardships Vriska did, but people still don't like her and she's still making similar mistakes to her predecessor!

Since they both see their flaws reflected in the other, things would be extremely uncomfortable at best and escalate to screaming hairpulling fights at worst. Both of them would be unable to make excuses for why they are the way they are any more ("I wouldn't be a bitch if I never had to feed Spidermom" and "my life would be so much better if I were a cool hero with amazing powers" no longer fly), and neither would deal with that very well at all.

Ellie is shocked to find that in comparison to Annie, she's a perfectly sociable and normal human being. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN EVEN WHAT IS THIS WHY IS THIS CHILD SO PRICKLY. All Ellie's weird qualities - cageyness, connecting to people best through violence, bluntness, etc etc - are all so much more pronounced in Annie that it's almost distressing for her to see. Especially since Annie is just sixteen, and when Ellie was sixteen she was a much happier person.

Annie, on the other hand, gets a brief pang of jealousy before her lack of imagination catches up with her and she can't actually accurately picture what it would be like to grow up in a world with no child soldier bullshit. She proceeds to Annieface at Ellie's careful probing and attempts to be "nice" (haha) until Ellie asks to see the Female Titan. Annie obliges - YAAAY SHOWING OFF YAAAYYY - and later they fight each other for funsies. Annie wins.

A PROPER demon lord would have Sam killed off immediately before he gains too much power. Maou would probably shoot the shit and be jealous that Sam has a bigger apartment (Since he doesn't live in Japan). He might EVENTUALLY get around to trying to deal with the competition, but it's not a high priority.

Sam, on the other hand, would be quietly freaking out in confusion. This guy is a demon lord!? But he ALSO works at McDonalds?

New!Suzaku would hate Old!Suzaku for his failure to save everyone. Because that's such a reasonable goal.

Oldzaku would agree. And probably tell Newzaku to look out for pink princesses and prettyboy princes with fabulous hand gestures. Maybe pass on some genre savvy that was rather hard-earned.

So Newzaku might have an eventual, grudging appreciation for his other version. But he'd never want to turn out the same way. Ever. He will save everyone damnit.

New-Toushirou would honestly be kind of impressed with his former self in some ways. So . . . a captain of death gods (that . . . apparently protect souls instead of devouring them or whatever, so that makes being a death god okay), with a whole whack of useful powers and people that actually listen to him. He can get behind that.

On the other hand, New-Toushirou would be rather unimpressed with the fact that Old-Toushirou didn't see what kind of danger was around his own best friend for years and years and start criticizing him for his screw-ups in protecting her. Because being critical solves everything.

Old-Toushirou doesn't really know how to deal with kids, but if this is really him, then it shouldn't be that hard, right? Don't have to treat him as much like a kid. Except shutting him down when the kid is being a brat and getting on his case about how he wasn't able to protect Hinamori. Shut up, child. They alternate butting heads and getting along fine, because that's how people like them roll.

As a side note, Old-Toushirou is quietly unhappy that his new self gets to be taller. And New-Toushirou starts mentally griping that future echoes may make him shrink. Not. Fair.

There would be a pretty solid language barrier between Wander and Walter, which would impede conversation, but the two would be able to communicate via drawings/overexaggerated charades. Unless Walt echo'd back the Simlish language; then they could shittalk behind everyone's back. FUCK YEAH.

Wander would be a little standoffish but incredibly curious about the modern world. He'd end up climbing various structures in an attempt to get his bearings while Walter tries to coax him down and he might try to hunt for food because what is a modern kitchen, seriously. He'd think that Walter has been a bit babied, but pities him because shit is going to get AWFUL for him once more tentacle echoes start coming in, and it isn't even Walter's fault. He didn't make any stupid deals with morally ambiguous gods.

Walter would initially think that Wander is kind of cool and try to learn everything about him buuuuuut the relationship would start to crumble after he learns about the aforementioned deal with a demon-esque entity. That's pretty bad, yo. And he's not a Shingeki after all, oh no.

Old!Fai would be really happy to find a version of him that hasn't been dragged through every horror the sadistic minds of certain mangaka can come up with more or less hell, and who because of this is a rather honest and forthright person. On the other hand, he would be absolutely horrified to learn that Fay doesn't have a twin, and that there are no signs of that he exists in his world. Fay also would literally make him feel pretty damn old, since he's had a normal human lifespan and not lived for hundreds of years.

Oh, and he would probably slap Fay across the face because he skipped out on his family and stays away out of fear. Because seriously he actually has a family from the start that doesn't want him dead, and should fight for them.

New!Fai/Fay would be confused and a little bit unnerved to meet a version of himself that has been so considerably fucked up by such an amount of suffering, and find the pretendy smiles and lingering tendencies towards lying pretty damn annoying. He would also be kind of deeply embarrassed by Old!Fai's huge lack of ihibitions in almost every aspect save the emotional, and weirded out by his way of interacting with... well, everyone. Basically he would interpret the whole thing as seeing a version of himself that has been broken by life and therefore gone kind of crazy, and would not find it to be a nurturing experience.

If he remembers Infinity at that time and the way old!him treated Kurogane, he would definitely return that slap. Because seriously what the fuck.

...he would however be vainly pleased that the Echoes will mean that he probably won't age much. Silly man.

"Okay, so this is a bit awkward." Youou doesn't think anyone will blame him for mistaking this person for his boyfriend at the distance he'd been, because even up close they still look eerily alike. "Sorry, it's just that you look very much like someone I... know." There's a light flush on his cheeks even as he smiles, because of all the things he could have called when trying to catch up to this look-alike of course he had to pick 'Hey, Fay. Sweetheart, wait up'.

But they really do look alike, apart from the eyes and the length of their hair, and with those weird clothes the guy's wearing Youou would almost believe that this, somehow, was the persons whose memories Fay resonated with. Or, he would if it wasn't for the fact that this one still had both his eyes while Fay had definitely remembered one them getting eaten. Still... He focuses on his other sense, the strange one that allows him to sense energies, squinting a bit in concentration. Eyes aside, they don't just look the same, they feel the same, in a way that not even identical twins does. Oh well, only one way to find out for sure. "Say, the name Kurogane doesn't happen to mean anything to you?"

Vin and Vanessa are a weird pair and neither one quite seems to know what to make of the other. They get along well enough and trade some stories about life on the streets but mostly keep things distant.

Vanessa is a little surprised that her preincarnated self ended up being a hero to so many, something she definitely doesn't see the potential for in herself. The idea of actually taking down an entire empire seems overwhelming to her, to say nothing of finding a home and a family out of what remained.

Vin is both a little jealous of her reincarnation growing up in a world without the hardships of Scadrial and sad that she grew up without an older brother to look after her, and a mentor like Kelsier. Because as hard as Reen could be, he did make her strong enough to survive. She tries to pass on some hope for the same, but she's pretty bad at it.

Vanessa does take the opportunity to learn more about Allomancy though, and Vin helps her hone her skills in it even further.

Old!Hajime would be a thousand sorts of jealous that New!Hajime has a family and is a human. (Or at least was a human up until Echoes started kicking in.) He would be trying not to let on to this. He'll probably also feel kind of bad that New!Hajime is having trouble with that whole "being an Undead" thing.

New!Hajime would be wondering just how it was that this guy even managed to deal with being what he is and sort of surprised the original functions as well in human society as he does. He'd also be very interested in how the original manages not to be a crazed monster anymore.

Old!Arthur is actually somewhat exasperated at the way New!Arthur has been behaving so irresponsibly throughout his life and does not know what to make of the tattoo.

New!Arthur is freaking out at Old!Arthur's having a kid and a family, although he thinks being a king is pretty dang cool.

They both end up telling an incredibly long-winded round of stories to each other and anyone else they think will listen. (Have fun dealing with TWO OF THEM, everyone else.)

Mort spends maybe...thirty seconds with Maki before quietly starting to diagnose the man, because this guy has serious issues. He doesn't want to end up like this at all. Put down the doll and just talk to him, Dr. Maki.

Maki, meanwhile, is disgusted by Mort and Mort's desire to help others. The whole idea of reincarnation frustrates him, since it's more focused on new beginnings rather than the endings he craves.

New!Shiro is 500% terrified by his old self. A monster! DEFINITELY A MONSTER with a hole in his chest and fangs and klsjdaksda creepy. New!Shiro is increasingly scared of the monster he's destined to become. He also thinks Old!Shiro is straight up crazy and antisocial.

Meanwhile, Old!Shiro is disgusted by this pathetic, weak human he's been reincarnated as. A total wimp and a chef? At least he appreciates food. Too bad it's lame gross human food and not proper souls. He thinks new!Shiro is a coward, with his priorities in the wrong place. He isn't good enough at protecting Ichigo/Mamoru, and that's their damn job. He also thinks all of New!Shiro's "friendships" are just asking for trouble. Weaknesses, waiting to be exploited. He thinks its high time for Shiro Nakamura to embrace his true nature.

They COULD maybe see eye to eye, if New!Shiro wouldn't stop running away and hiding.

Ymir would probably be intensely jealous of Blaine who, while not having had a nice childhood, at least was "only" neglected and has grown up at a normal rate so far. She would also be seriously pissed off at her aimlessness, and be torn between pity and well-that-makes-it-easier-for-you regarding Blaine not having a most important person.

Blaine would think if Ymir as a kindred spirit and then proceed to ask about all the details of her former life so she knows what will be going on with the echoes and has superior knowledge and control over them. Also over all others from her world.

Then Ymir would employ Blaine's help to find Chloe in the hopes of Christa being somewhere around her. And Blaine would shake her head in incomprehension at that impractical devotion.

new!bananas would sort of marvel over old!bananas circa ep 6 because he's actually a badass who more or less knows what he's doing by then. which is leagues more than his reincarnation has at the moment. 1. is in control of his near-sentient mech that has a penchant for chewing up people's souls and spitting them back out, 2. has no problem getting yelly at the froofy antagonists et al., 3. got the girl, 4. saved everyone and foiled a bunch of conspirators' plans while doing so IN SPAAAACE.

when asked how he did this old!bananas would probably be like BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS BECAUSE THIS. IS. UUUUCCCCCCC and then boot him in the chest.

no i'm kidding, but he probably wouldn't even know how to share his insight just yet since he's still in the thick of his ongoing canon. old!bananas might be just the slightest bit jealous that new!bananas has grown up with his mother (not in a shitheap of a colony, if the novels are anything to go by) and that he's slightly more well-adjusted. he'd also be horrified that his reincarnate isn't obsessively latching onto audrey/mineva he needs her to need him space puberty is hard and no one understands. they'd be mutually annoyed in some circular way that they have to go through all of that bs again.

And all of a sudden there's a not!Vanessa there, crouching down by Haro and poking at him curiously.

Despite the two of them looking nearly identical, Vin is a little different from Vanessa. A year or two older, with longer hair and a pair of scars on both her cheeks, clearly from knife cuts, that nearly line up with each other. She's also dressed in clothes of muted colors, a cloak made up of long, grey strips of fabric and a sash around her waist and barefoot. She's also carrying a pair of long daggers in sheaths at her sides.

"So, this is the 'robot'?" She says, more to herself than anybody around her.
